World is considered the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect in the transfer portal per 247Sports' rankings. The Buckeyes and World had mutual interest upon his entry into the portal, but a visit to Columbus didn't materialize.
The 6-foot-8, 309-pound tackle had a pass-blocking grade of 82.2 last season from Pro Football Focus' grades, ranking him 17th in the nation among FBS tackles who started regularly.
Ohio State hosted former Northwestern offensive lineman Josh Thompson on a visit on Friday, and hosted former Rice offensive tackle Ethan Onianwa on Sunday. OSU also offered Cal Poly offensive lineman Brady Norton on Monday, but he committed to Michigan a few hours later.
The Buckeyes are expected to add multiple offensive linemen in the transfer portal with offensive tackle being their most pressing transfer need for the 2025 season.
