In what's now become an annual tradition, former Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk absolutely destroyed a fan at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Friday at the Edgewood Tahoe South course in Stateline, Nev.
It's all in good fun, as Hawk lights up a fan (or two) every year at the tournament to help raise money for charity. Hawk's practice of clobbering people for charity dates back even further, in fact, to at least 2012, when the then Green Bay Packer linebacker demolished a man at a charity football event in Youngstown.
Here's Hawk smashing another fan Friday – this one smart enough to at least get into a bubble before flirting with death.
Hawk currently sits tied for 46th after one round in the event which features modified stableford scoring. Soap opera star Jack Wagner sits atop the leaderboard, followed by NHL great Mike Modano, former pitcher Mark Mulder, former pro tennis player Mardy Fish and NFL great Shannon Sharpe.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is tied for 67th, while Steve Spurrier sits at 70th.
Charles Barkley brings up the rear of the leaderboard, 16 points behind Larry the Cable Guy.
