During the first press conference of Big Ten Football Media Days on Monday, Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman announced that BTN will work with SportsTime Ohio to produce a weekly Ohio State show this season.
The show will air exclusively on STO and will be hosted by Rick Pizzo and former Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis, who is joining BTN's talent roster this season.
Silverman said Laurinaitis made a big impression during his audition for the network.
"James had perhaps the best screen test I've ever seen," Silverman said. "For somebody who literally just retired months ago, (Laurinaitis) really blew us all away."
Silverman also announced that former Ohio State quarterback Stanley Jackson will join the cast of BTN Tailgate, the network's pregame show, for the 2017 season.
