COLUMBUS – Fall camp is in full swing for the Ohio State football team, which moved into its team hotel on Sunday evening and held its ninth practice of the preseason on Monday morning.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer met with the local media following Monday morning's practice at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center to provide the latest updates on the Buckeyes.

The biggest news came right at the start of the press conference, when Meyer confirmed defensive tackle Michael Hill is suspended for the start of the season. The length of Hill's suspension has not yet been determined.

Here's what else you need to know from the coach's latest meeting with the media:

  • Mike Weber is still limited in practice due to tightness in his hamstring.
  • Meyer has been impressed with the professionalism of freshman quarterback Tate Martell.
  • The pecking order on the quarterback depth chart behind J.T. Barrett has not yet been determined.
  • It has not yet been determined who will start at right guard, but Malcolm Pridgeon, Matt Burrell, Demetrius Knox and Branden Bowen all remain in the competition.
  • Tracy Sprinkle and DaVon Hamilton are among the players who could see more playing time at defensive tackle with Hill suspended.
  • Meyer anticipates Rashod Berry will see playing time this season at tight end.
  • Malik Harrison is currently the fourth man at the linebacker position.
  • Johnnie Dixon's family is close to getting the call to buy tickets for this season to watch him play because of how well he has performed in fall camp.
  • J.K. Dobbins has been impressive and is one of the freshmen who will see playing time this year. Antonio Williams has also impressed Meyer at running back with Weber sidelined.
  • On the freshmen: "This is one of the better classes we've had."
  • Meyer acknowledges he might not have added former head coaches to his staff 10 years ago, but he loves what Kevin Wilson and Greg Schiano have brought to the staff as coordinators.
  • Isaiah Prince has impressed with his work ethic as he works to improve from last season.

Check back with Eleven Warriors for further updates later this afternoon, as offensive line coach Greg Studrawa and multiple members of Ohio State's offensive line are scheduled to speak with the media after Meyer's press conference.
