Ohio State center Billy Price and cornerback Denzel Ward received even more recognition for their performance this season on Tuesday, when both Buckeyes were named first-team All-Americans by Sporting News and ESPN.
Price had already earned consensus All-American status on Monday when he was named a first-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America and Associated Press, having previously been named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Should Price be named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association, which has yet to announce its team, he will be considered a unanimous All-American.
Ward, who was previously named a first-team All-American by the AP and a second-team All-American by the FWAA, would also be named a consensus All-American if he receives first-team honors from the AFCA.
Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa, who was previously named as a second-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and AP, was also named as a second-team All-American by Sporting News.
Ward was also named Tuesday as a first-team All-American by CBS Sports, which named Price and Bosa as second-team All-Americans.
