Nick Bosa was named Wednesday as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week. He one-upped that on Thursday.
Bosa was named Thursday as both the NFC Defensive Player of the Month and the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for his play over the course of October.

In four games this month, all wins for the San Francisco 49ers, Bosa recorded 16 total tackles, six sacks, an interception and a forced fumble. He was twice named as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week in October. He received the award after recording four tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the 49ers' 31-3 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, and again this week after recording four tackles, three sacks and an interception in the 49ers' 51-13 win over the Carolina Panthers.
With his play over the past four weeks, the former Ohio State defensive end has not only established himself as the clear-cut frontrunner to be the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year, but also thrust himself into the conversation for the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year award, as he has emerged as a star for a 49ers team that is now 7-0 for the season.
