Liam McCullough is getting another shot to make it in the NFL.
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed the former Ohio State long snapper, who was waived by the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this month, on Thursday.
McCullough's signing comes after the Steelers' incumbent long snapper, Kameron Canaday, suffered a knee injury last week, potentially leaving the door open for a new long snapper to make the regular-season roster.
A four-year starting long snapper for the Buckeyes, McCullough is in his first year of trying to make it in the NFL. He joins former Ohio State defensive lineman Cameron Heyward on the Steelers' active roster, while Ryan Shazier is on the organization's reserve/retired list.
