Ryan Day and the Buckeyes aren't taking a win for granted after a Week 2 loss to Oregon and a closer-than-expected victory against Tulsa last weekend. Even as big favorites entering Saturday's matchup with Akron, Ohio State's game trailer showcased the Buckeyes' commitment to preparation.
“That's what this thing is all about, is preparing,” Day said. “You have to have your mind, heart, soul, your body involved in this thing. It takes everything you have.”
With a nighttime kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Ohio Stadium, Ohio State has a chance to gain some much-needed confidence this weekend in Columbus.
“You can't do it on your own,” Day said. “You need the guy next to you.”
