Well, it seems Clay Travis will have to drum up a new talking point against Ryan Day.
After the Outkick founder called Ohio State's head coach "untrustworthy" on Monday because he dyes his beard, Ryan Day's wife, Nina, quoted him on X to say that he's "never once" dyed it.
I have known Ryan my entire life and he has never once died his beard. Move on to the next narrative. https://t.co/Sc0hUmxMlm

Travis, a Tennessee fan who watched his team get eviscerated 42-17 in the Shoe by Ohio State during the first round of the College Football Playoff this December, argued that people who dye their beard aren't embracing their "rugged masculinity," which is apparently the point of having a beard.
"If you have a beard and you dye your beard, you are not trustworthy," Travis said. "Because the whole purpose of having a beard is to embrace your rugged masculinity. And if you’re dyeing your beard, you are defeating the whole purpose. I think this is why people didn’t trust Ryan Day. I think Ryan Day’s approval ratings would go up a billion percent. Congratulations on the national title. If you really want to be beloved, don’t dye your beard."
Unfortunately for Travis, he forgot the famous saying about assuming things, and it turns out Day – per the number one person who would know outside of him – does not dye his beard.
Travis' diatribe carries the scent of sour grapes, and now he's been made to look a fool.
