Darrion Henry-Young has hit the transfer portal.
The redshirt freshman defensive lineman was a four-star prospect and the No. 154 overall recruit in Ohio State's 2020 recruiting class, but played in only two games for the Buckeyes during the 2021 regular season.
Henry-Young, a Cincinnati, Ohio, native who played high school football at Princeton, played four snaps against Tulsa and 14 against Akron in back-to-back non-conference appearances this season, but never saw the field again thereafter.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound lineman appeared in only two games as a true freshman in 2020.
Henry-Young becomes Ohio State’s fifth scholarship player to enter the portal since the end of the regular season, joining quarterbacks Jack Miller and Quinn Ewers, cornerback Ryan Watts and safety/linebacker Craig Young.
