All eyes were on Jim Knowles and the remade Ohio State defense heading into Week 1.
Knowles and the Buckeyes lived up to expectations defensively, keeping OSU in the game throughout Saturday's 21-10 victory over No. 5 Notre Dame when OSU's offense got off to an unexpectedly slow start.
Xavier Johnson stepped up late in the game after injuries to Julian Fleming and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Miyan Williams was the catalyst on Ohio State's 95-yard drive that sealed the victory for the Buckeyes in the second half.
We've got more than 150 photos from the action Saturday and they can be viewed in the photo gallery above.
