With The Game around the corner, Big Noon Kickoff, live in Ann Arbor, welcomed college football insider Bruce Feldman on the show for an update on Texas A&M and its head coaching search following the school's firing of Jimbo Fisher on Nov. 12.

"The Aggies feel like they have some good options here," Felman reported. "They have Chris Klieman from Kansas State, Lance Leipold from Kansas, and there's also Mike Elko, the former defensive coordinator from A&M who is now (head coach) at Duke. Another name to watch is Mark Stoops at Kentucky."

Then Feldman dropped a name that perked up ears in Columbus and beyond.

"Don't be surprised if the Aggies pursue Ryan Day," he said. "As you know, Day is 56-6 as a head coach, and he came within a field goal in the last second of knocking off Georgia in the CFP (last season). But keep in mind, the specter of back-to-back losses to the hated archrival Michigan hangs heavy over Columbus. If they win here today and beat the Wolverines, I seriously doubt – with them in the playoff mix – that he would be taking that call. But the Aggies are optimistic that if they don't win that game, that he might be open to their pitch."

As Rob Stone entered the frame, the Big Noon Kickoff host said he was watching former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer during Feldman’s report. With only a few words, Meyer seemingly squashed the rumors that Day, the man he and Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith hand-picked to be the Buckeyes' program leader in 2018, would have interest in a move to College Station, Texas.

"No way," Meyer said, laughing. "I love you, Bruce, but no way."
