The Buckeyes will determine how their 2024 season will end.

That's the message former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett shared in the Tennessee and College Football Playoff First-Round Game Trailer.

"Every story takes a journey of its own, where the easy roads don't test you. It's the adversity, the pain, the struggles that turn fear to fire. That's what makes you who you are," Clarett said, standing in the program's decorated trophy room. "There's a standard when you are a Buckeye. It's what separates the extraordinary from the ordinary. We have the pen to write how this story ends."

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day had a similar message for his team at practice this week, telling his players that the story for the Buckeyes' 2024 season has "yet to be written."

Clarett then continued: "After all we've been through, after all we've fought for, we could have stopped writing, but we didn't. ... It's in our biggest moments, staring down adversity, we've pushed through with perseverance, giving every last ounce of fight for those beside us because we know what stands in front of us."

The trailer also shows Will Howard, Donovan Jackson and JT Tuimoloau giving intense speeches. The leadership of all three players will be crucial when the Buckeyes face the Volunteers.

"The stakes have risen, but this brotherhood, this family, the scarlet and gray — we run toward pressure and take our pain. We run toward the pressure and take our pain and turn it into passion," Clarett said. "Our next chapter is right now, right here, right in front of us. We're here to tell you our story writes on."

The story continues on Saturday...
