Ohio State holds off Notre Dame, 34-23, to win the program's ninth national championship.
Chip Kelly is in his bag early on against Notre Dame.
When it comes to watching film, coaches and players not only watch opponents to learn different tendencies but to also add some tricks and plays to their own playbook as well.
It appears Chip Kelly went back to the well and watched the 2020 national championship game – one that Alabama beat Ohio State, 52-24 – for Jeremiah Smith's 8-yard touchdown reception from Will Howard for the Buckeyes' first score of the game Monday night.
Will Howards 8-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiah Smith was reminiscent of a touchdown DeVonta Smith had against Ohio State in the 2020 national championship game.
