Ohio State's gray alternate uniforms are back for 2024.

The Buckeyes announced themes for all eight of their home games on Monday and unveiled that they will wear gray uniforms during their Oct. 5 matchup with Iowa in Week 6.

Ohio State previously wore the gray uniforms last year against Michigan State, donning them for a 38-3 win over the Spartans.

It will be the 35th time since 2009 that Ohio State has brought out an alternate jersey, with the Buckeyes going 27-7 in the previous 34 games. Monochromatic looks have been a popular alternate uniform for Ohio State in recent years, in which the Buckeyes have also donned all-white, all-scarlet and all-black jerseys.

Ohio State will also honor its 2024 class of Athletics Hall of Fame inductees against Iowa. Other game themes for the 2024 season include a 50th anniversary celebration of Archie Griffin winning the Heisman during the season opener against Akron and Ohio State asking fans to “Scarlet the Shoe” for its homecoming game against Nebraska on Oct. 26.

The full list of game themes:

  • Aug. 31 vs. Akron: Archie Griffin 50th anniversary Heisman celebration and Faculty and Staff Appreciation
  • Sept. 7 vs. Western Michigan: Alumni Band Day
  • Sept. 21 vs. Marshall: Scarlet and Gray Game
