Ohio State Freshman Cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. Sheds Black Stripe

Scott shed his black stripe on Tuesday, becoming the 10th freshman to shed his black stripe from the 2024 recruiting class.

A five-star recruit, Scott was considered the No. 36 prospect and No. 6 cornerback in the 2024 cycle per 247Sports' composite rankings. In his senior year at Springfield, Scott recorded 21 tackles, two tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Scott has impressed Ohio State secondary coach Tim Walton with his play so far in preseason camp.

"He's competitive, coachable, has a passion to play the game, wants to learn and has a lot of energy, man," Walton said of Scott earlier this month. "That's a part of it, man, you have to have passion and energy to learn the game and he does a great job with it."

Redshirt freshman walk-on wide receiver Nolan Baudo also lost his black stripe on Tuesday.
