Ohio State adds another top-100 safety as Simeon Caldwell commits to the Buckeyes.
Goodbye, Spring Showcase. Hello, Spring Game.
Ohio State announced Wednesday that Ryan Day and the Buckeyes will end the spring with a game, not a showcase, on April 12 at Ohio Stadium.
"Game on. We heard you, Buckeye Nation. The name 'Spring Showcase' didn't capture what this day really means. So we're calling it what it's always been: Spring Game. Because this is more than a practice – it's a game-day experience built for fans," an Ohio State press release states. "Yes, the team will be competing on the field. Coach Day is planning a full spring game-style experience, with game reps and a big-stage atmosphere in front of Buckeye Nation that helps prepare the Buckeyes for fall Saturdays."
Here's what Ohio State fans can expect from the Spring Game, according to the press release:
- Game-style reps
- A loud, electric crowd needed to simulate game day
- Family-friendly pricing to pack the Shoe
- The return of the reigning champs and a first look at the 2025 Buckeyes
"Come be a part of action, cheer loud and help us kick off the 2025 season with all the energy, pride and passion that makes Ohio State special," the press release closes.
Tickets for Ohio State's Spring Game start at $8. The Buckeyes will also offer two premium options, including reserved seating starting at $20 and club seating starting at $35. Ohio State students can attend the Spring Game for free by showing a valid BuckID at the gates. Parking is also free for all patrons.
Ohio State's Spring Game will kick off at noon on April 12. Times for Fan Fest and the team's arrival at Ohio Stadium are still to be determined.
