A former Buckeye is joining the coaching staff at Washington.

Washington is hiring former Ohio State center Mike Brewster as its assistant offensive line coach, according to a report by ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Brewster joins the Huskies’ staff after one year as the offensive line coach at Valparaiso. He was previously the tight ends coach at Tennessee State for two seasons after holding support staff roles at Western Michigan, Bowling Green and Cincinnati.

Brewster was a four-year starter for Ohio State at center from 2008-11, earning first-team All-American honors in 2010 and serving as a team captain in 2011. He went on to play for two seasons with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, after which he had brief stints with the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints. He began his coaching career at Orangewood Christian School in 2017 before entering the college coaching ranks.

Brewster will see his former team on Sept. 27 when Ohio State travels to Washington to play the Huskies in the 2025 Big Ten opener for both teams.
