Fifteen members of Ohio State’s 2024 national championship team went to Indianapolis this past week in a bid to boost their draft stock at the NFL Scouting Combine.
As an Ohio State-record 15 combine participants went through their weigh-ins and on-field workouts and participated in media interviews, we compiled measurables and workout results for every player, interview videos of each Ohio State prospect (with the exception of Tyleik Williams, who was unable to attend his scheduled media interviews), a variety of stories on Ohio State’s draft prospects and other storylines relevant to OSU and more updates from Indianapolis, all of which you can find below.
The full measurables and workout results for each of Ohio State’s combine participants can be found in the table below.

Only three Buckeyes ran the 40-yard dash, running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins and cornerback Denzel Burke, with the rest choosing to wait until Ohio State’s March 26 pro day to run. Quarterback Will Howard was the only other Buckeye to do any measurable tests, while he also went through a full throwing session.
Defensive tackles Ty Hamilton and Tyleik Williams, defensive end Jack Sawyer, defensive backs Jordan Hancock and Lathan Ransom and offensive lineman Donovan Jackson all went through position drills at the combine but did not participate in any measurable tests. Defensive end JT Tuimoloau, linebacker Cody Simon, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and offensive linemen Seth McLaughlin and Josh Simmons did not participate in any on-field workouts, with McLaughlin and Simmons still recovering from the season-ending injuries they suffered this past fall.

Jackson Shows Toughness in Offensive Line Workout
With Josh Simmons and Seth McLaughlin recovering from their season-ending injuries, Donovan Jackson was the final Buckeye to go through an on-field workout at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine as he went through offensive line drills at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.
Jackson, who did not run the 40-yard dash or participate in any of the other measurable drills, did not appear to be fully healthy during the workout as he was seen grimacing through most of his reps and got some attention from the on-site athletic trainers midway through the workout.

Despite that, Jackson still went through a full set of offensive line drills, downplaying any injury when he was asked about his health by NFL Network’s Charles Davis.
“I’m doing great,” Jackson said.

Jackson did not run the 40-yard dash or participate in any of the measurable tests at the combine, choosing to wait until pro day to complete those drills.
Henderson, Judkins Boost NFL Draft Stock

Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson strengthened their cases for being two of the draft’s top running backs with their prolific showings at the NFL Scouting Combine. Both safely project to be Day 2 picks, at worst, with the chance for either of them to end up in the late first round.
Simmons “Very Glad” He Chose to Be A Buckeye

Josh Simmons says he’s “way ahead of schedule” in his recovery from the torn patellar tendon that ended his final season at Ohio State, and he expects to be able to work out for NFL scouts before the draft in April.
A projected first-round pick, Simmons credits former Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye with developing him into one of the top offensive tackles in this year’s draft.
“Put my trust in Coach Frye, and he did the damn thing. He turned me into a monster,” Simmons said.
Howard Embraces Cheers, Boos in Throwing Session

Will Howard had Ohio State fans cheering on his good throws and fans of other schools booing his incompletions during his throwing session at the NFL Scouting Combine, and he embraced the noise from both sides.
It wasn’t a perfect day for Howard, who admitted after the workout that there were some throws he’d like to have back, but he’ll look to build on his combine performance when he throws again at Ohio State’s pro day on March 26.
“I felt decent,” Howard told NFL Network. “I'm my own biggest critic, so I feel like there were some things I could clean up. But overall, I think I showed that I can spin the ball with the best. And I felt good about it. And I think my footwork was pretty solid. And I’m excited for my pro day to show that I can spin it a little more.”
Henderson, Judkins Shine at Combine

Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson both stood out during their on-field workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday. Judkins led all running backs with an 11-foot broad jump while also posting a 4.48-second 40-yard dash and 38.5” vertical jump at 221 pounds, while Henderson posted a 4.43-second 40-yard dash, 10-foot-8 broad jump and 38.5” vertical.
Oregon WR Thought Ducks Were Better “Skill for Skill”

Former Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson believes gameplan and execution, not player talent, made the difference in Ohio State’s Rose Bowl win over the Ducks.
“The first Ohio State game, I felt like they came out there and they wanted to see who can win skill for skill, just let us play. The second game, they kind of played it like, we're going to drop back, we can't hang with these guys skill for skill, so we’re going to try to keep everything in front of us,” Johnson said Friday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “So that's what they did, and for them it worked. So we went out there to that game and we definitely had a really good game plan against those guys, but they executed well.”
Burke Runs the 40
Denzel Burke became the first Buckeye to run the 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Friday. He was clocked in a time of 4.48 seconds on both of his attempts, tying him for 15th out of 24 cornerbacks.

Burke also went through position drills alongside fellow Ohio State cornerback Jordan Hancock, who did not run the 40. Both Buckeye cornerbacks impressed in position drills, which they each capped off with a full run of clean catches through the gauntlet.
Lathan Ransom also participated in position drills on Friday with the safeties but did not run the 40. Like Burke and Hancock, Ransom had a clean run through the gauntlet, drawing a noticeable round of cheers from the Buckeye fans in attendance at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Howard Has Chip on Shoulder at Combine

No stranger to being underrated, Howard is looking to build off of his successful CFP run and prove to scouts at the NFL Scouting Combine that he can be the face of a franchise. “I still have that chip on my shoulder,” Howard said. “I'm always going to have that. You know, I love being kind of the underdog and kind of coming from behind. I think that's where I thrive and where I want to be.”
McCord Was Happy to See OSU Win Title

Kyle McCord said it was “awesome” to see Ohio State win the national championship and thinks his transfer from Ohio State to Syracuse worked out for the best for everyone.
Henderson, Judkins Will Run 40 at Combine

Unlike most of Ohio State’s other draft prospects, TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins will run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.
“I just felt with the training that I had and the people I trained with, they prepared me the best, so why not?” Judkins said.
Howard to Throw at Combine
Will Howard will be among the quarterbacks throwing passes at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday. According to ESPN’s Pat McAfee, Howard was seen preparing for his throwing session by throwing in a hotel parking lot in Indianapolis on Thursday.

Ewers Calls Scoop-and-Sawyer A “Full-Circle Moment”

Although Jack Sawyer’s famous strip sack and return for a touchdown against him ended his Texas career, Quinn Ewers said he was “super proud” of Sawyer and his former Ohio State teammates for winning the national championship. He also said he has no regrets about starting his college career at Ohio State, saying he “matured a lot when I was there.”
Burke Says Oregon Game Was “Anamoly”

After Ohio State’s one-point defeat against Oregon in mid-October, Burke had to face all kinds of scrutiny following a career-worst performance where he allowed more than 150 yards and seven catches, the only game in his college career that he allowed more than 100 yards to a wideout. Burke doesn’t think he should be defined by that game, though.
“That game was an anomaly,” Burke said. “It just wasn't my day. That wasn't who I am, and I just had to keep pushing.”
Ransom Encouraged Ohio State to Pursue Max Klare

When Klare entered the portal in December, joining a large group of Boilermakers who did so after Purdue fired former coach Ryan Walters, Ransom’s prophecy came true. The former Boilermaker chose to sign with Ohio State after also considering other top programs like Texas, Michigan, Louisville and Texas A&M.
Hamilton, Williams Shine in Position Drills
While none of Ohio State’s defensive linemen are running the 40-yard dash at the combine, Ty Hamilton and Tyleik Williams both went through position drills with the defensive tackles, the first group of prospects to work out in Indianapolis.
The two Buckeyes were among the group’s top standouts. Hamilton was among the most consistently fluid movers during defensive line drills while Williams drew cheers after several of his reps as his combination of size and athleticism – after measuring in at a whopping 337 pounds – stood out among his peers.

Defensive end JT Tuimoloau and linebacker Cody Simon did not go through any on-field workouts on Thursday, choosing to wait until Ohio State’s March 26 pro day to work out for NFL scouts.
Combine Defenders Took Notice of Jeremiah Smith

Defensive players at the NFL Scouting Combine who faced Jeremiah Smith last season described him as a “freak athlete,” a smart player and someone “not to be messed with,” among other praise.
Denzel Burke says Julian Sayin is "That Dude"

Denzel Burke has never been one to mince words, and he didn't on Thursday as he heaped plenty of praise on possible new starting quarterback Julian Sayin, calling him "that dude" on Thursday.

Former Tennessee defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott had high praise for Ohio State, especially Jeremiah Smith, when asked about the Volunteers’ 42-17 loss to the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff.
“He’s not to be messed with,” Norman-Lott said. “You’re like rendered powerless. You’re doing anything you can to stop him, but it’s a man vs. man game, and that day he was the better man.”
Limited Workout Slate for Combine Buckeyes

During their interview sessions at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, Ohio State defensive linemen Jack Sawyer and Ty Hamilton said they will only do defensive line drills during their on-field workouts on Thursday while linebacker Cody Simon said he’ll be waiting until Ohio State’s March 26 pro day “to pretty much do everything.”
It’s expected that most of Ohio State’s 15 combine invitees will follow their lead by waiting until pro day to go through full workouts for NFL scouts, giving themselves more time to recover physically from their 16-game season that ended on Jan. 20 and to train for combine-specific drills.
JT and Jack Roommates One More Time

JT Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer are roommates one last time at the NFL Scouting Combine as the two former Ohio State defensive ends look to impress NFL scouts in Indianapolis.
“That’s my brother. Having Jack there, it’s like an extended family. Having him there, we talk about everything and what going through this process means for the both of us. We dreamed about it as little kids. It’s crazy how time flies, we’re already here,” Tuimoloau said.
