Programming alert: Dabo Swinney will be meeting with the media at 10 a.m.

When he inevitably says something insane and/or disrespectful, you can read about it on elevenwarriors.com.

Word of the Day: Incongruous.

HE'S BACK. We're all going to be combing through every piece of Ohio State media like the Zapruder Film this week to try to piece together which players will be able to play against Clemson.

And we got our first bit of pixilated evidence on Sunday.

Of course, we already knew Chris Olave was going to be good to go, but it's a different kind of peace seeing him out there on the practice field.

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN! It's fair to say that this week dealt Dwayne Haskins a firm kick to the groin following his extremely public unmasked outing.

Our guy got slapped with a hefty fine, had his captaincy stripped, and then played so terribly that he got benched in favor of a fourth-year quarterback from Old Dominion who'd never appeared in a regular-season game before.

It ain't much consolation, but at least another Buckeye is thriving in Washington.

Chase Young joins Terry McLaurin in earning captaincy midseason, and he played his absolute ass off on Sunday, finishing the game with a sack, two tackles for loss, a pass defense, two quarterback hits and a fumble recovery.

If he takes home this year's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award, it'll be the fourth time a Buckeye has won it in five years, which seems extremely good!

BEGINNING WITH A BANG. There wasn't much easing into his first NBA regular season action for Jae'Sean Tate.

With the Rockets a bit shorthanded due to COVID, Tate played for more than 75 percent of the game in his NBA debut, and he did a damn good job.

The only thing that's ever been missing from his game – minus, well, four inches – was a reliable jump shot. Now that he's got that down, I have a feeling he's going to make some coaches very, very happy.

THIRD-TEAM ALL-BIG TEN. Turns out, Ohio State's third-team All-Big Ten defensive tackle is actually the best defensive tackle in America.

I'm not sure I'll ever fully get over Haskell Garrett's All-Big Ten snub, but I will say this – at least it's not the other way around. I'm sure he'd much rather be snubbed by the Big Ten than get snubbed nationally.

They don't give out trees for All-Big Ten honorees.
