We're not sure how far Paul Johnson and his Yellow Jackets will extend their streak of 22 straight possessions without punting, but we do know that tonight's Orange Bowl matchup between Iowa and Georgia Tech represents a girdiron ACC/Big Ten Challenge as each conference enters with a 3-3 mark.
Johnson wants to force Stanzi to win the game through the air but that could be courting disaster as there's nothing that kid enjoys more than throwing bombs for touchdowns. If he can avoid a start like he had against the Hoosiers, putting points on the board early is the best way to neutralize Tech's offense. If not, Iowa still has the horses (and toughness) on defense to slow the option and give the Hawkeyes a shot at the end. Either way, we like the Big Ten to go 2-0 in ACC challenges, real or otherwise.
