Bye weeks don't have to be sad slogs through the random detritus of whatever the college football gods decide to present to us. Sometimes, a second sport emerges.
A sport that brings up even more insanity ("madness" if you will) on a regular basis than even football. A sport with heroes and villains and sometimes even The Villain. A sport where goofy weirdos are the rule rather than the exception.
Ahh, Basketball. You're back, and we're so happy. This week on the Dubcast, Michael and I talk to our very own resident b-ball expert Chris Lauderback about the hopes and dreams of this Ohio State team. Will Q step up and be the BMOC we all want him to be? Will Aaron Craft finally die for our sins and ascend into the NBA? Will we all buy goofy hair wigs for Della Valle Day?
All this and Ask Us Anything (which you can do by sending us an e-mail at elevendubcast@gmail.com) plus a little Purdue talk. Enjoy!
Here's how everything went down:
0:25- Michael and I talk some Ohio State football and then get into who is going to step up on the 2013 basketball team, and some of the larger challenges they'll face as Big Ten season starts.
19:00- Chris joins us to break down the Ohio State roster, the Big Ten at large, and college basketball on the national level to give us some of the critical insight which I'm pretty sure he picked up during the Walsh exhibition.
33:56- Ask Us Anything! Weird Al party at my place.
49:38- They don't call him "King Charles" because he's some dumbass royalty guy.
And that'll do it! Music for the Dubcast this week was a QCD remix from Space Jam, Into the Open by the Heartless Bastards, and Go Baby by Lupe Fiasco. Have a good day everybody!
