St. Francis, who finished 12-18 in the Northeast Conference last season, started the 2013-14 basketball season the right way, knocking off defending ACC champion Miami 66-62 in Coral Gables Friday night.
Of note: The Hurricanes missed all 15 of its 3-point attempts.
Miami will get Nebraska, who dropped Florida Gulf Coast in impressive fashion, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge next month.
