Urban Meyer, despite entering his third year of coaching at Ohio State, led Florida to a disastrous 4-8 campaign in 2013, capstoned by a home-loss to FCS Georgia Southern.
It appears the students are getting restless with their football team. Florida is in danger of not selling out its student tickets for the first time in 20 years.
From The Orlando Sentinel:
Earlier this month, longtime athletic director Jeremy Foley wrote a letter urging students to purchase season tickets.
Foley wrote: "Part of what makes The Swamp one of the greatest game day experiences in the nation is the pride and passion from the East Side of the Stadium and our University of Floridastudents."
He went on to write: ""OUr football team feeds off that and needs you there."
So, this is the state of Florida football: Their AD is begging students to attend the game.
Urban Meyer's seat is certainly getting hot down there in Gainesville.
