Bob Stoops isn't the greatest Oklahoma coach of all time, but he's up there. As such, the school is planning to honor the Ohioan with an already-commissioned statue that wasn't supposed to be unveiled until after Stoops' retirement (per his request).
The problem is that the statue has already been spotted in the wild.
Just saw this rolling down Lindsey Street: about a 10 foot tall statue of Bob Stoops. #Sooners pic.twitter.com/iR88nIFJ2d

The statue showed up unannounced to campus, and the results were predictable.
My unsolicited advice to Oklahoma is this: Just go ahead and dedicate that statue before the football team's three-game run of Baylor (away), Texas Christian (home), and Oklahoma State (away) and it suffers a case of buyer's remorse.
