Ohio State makes easy work of Purdue, cruising to a 45-0 win.
Ohio State recently offered a talented cornerback in the 2025 class.
Three-star Georgia prospect Jordyn Woods visited Columbus for the Buckeyes’ game against Nebraska in October, then was offered by Tim Walton on Sunday. Woods, a Cincinnati commit, plans on taking an official visit to OSU on Nov. 23 for the Indiana game, a contest that will have major Big Ten title implications.
Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Woods is considered the No. 1255 prospect and the No. 117 cornerback in the 2025 cycle. Woods holds 11 Division I offers, including Cincinnati, Boston College, Michigan State and Virginia. He’s been a Cincinnati commit since June 25.
Ohio State has zeroed in on making Woods the third cornerback commit in OSU’s 2025 class and hope to flip him by December. While OSU cornerback commit Na’eem Offord continues to take other visits, the Buckeyes would take Woods regardless whether Offord’s commitment to Ohio State holds or not.
In 10 games for Cartersville High School (Cartersville, Georgia), Woods has recorded 38 total tackles, three tackles for loss, three pass deflections and two forced fumbles.
Devin Carter puts OSU in top 11
One of the top wide receivers in the 2026 class has narrowed down his recruitment. Five-star Georgia prospect Devin Carter included the Buckeyes in his top 11 schools this week, which also consisted of Alabama, Oregon, LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M, Texas, Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss and Louisville.

Carter is considered the No. 21 prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the 2026 class. He was offered by OSU in January and is a former Florida State commit. In 10 games so far this season, Carter has caught 32 passes for 535 yards and four touchdowns.
Braylon Williams adds the Buckeyes to top 10
Carter isn’t the only premier prospect to include OSU in a top schools list this week. Texas 2027 linebacker Braylon Williams put the Buckeyes in his leading 10 along with Oklahoma, Ole Miss, SMU, Wisconsin, Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Utah.

Williams was offered by OSU in May, then visited campus in June for a recruiting camp and earlier this fall for a game. Last season, Williams added 89 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, a sack and three pass breakups.
Ohio State hosting several highly touted prospects this weekend
In case you missed it earlier this morning, the Buckeyes are expected to host at least 20 highly-ranked recruits for their contest against Purdue Saturday. Four-star 2025 running back Anthony Rogers is likely the most important visit of the weekend, but the 2026 cycle also has some notable prospects attending, including Savion Hiter, Derek Cooper, Corbyn Fordham, Zion Elee and more.
Of note
As we’ve mentioned a few times in the past week, Ohio State is trying to flip Rogers from Alabama for its third running back commit in the 2025 class. It appears Alabama is already thinking of contingency plans.
Per On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Michigan State commit Jace Clarizo earned an offer from the Crimson Tide this week and will visit Alabama later this month. The Crimson Tide have two running backs committed in 2025 (including Rogers) and things could move quickly with Clarizo.
