Oct. 20th, 1990 — the last time Iowa State beat Oklahoma in Norman.
That streak came to a close, Saturday, as the Cyclones — down to their third-string walk-on quarterback, rallied from a 24-10 deficit to stun the Sooners, 38-31.
After the game, Cyclones redshirt senior DB Evrett Edwards took a page out of Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield's book and planted a flag at midfield of the home stadium that just witnessed the upset loss.
Unlike Mayfield's attempt, the flag stood planted.
