Despite being shot into the sun by the Ohio State offense last night, there are some positives lying ahead for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The school announced Sunday Oct. 15 they have hired Washington State athletic director Bill Moos to the same position.
The hiring comes after the university previously fired Shawn Eichorst from the position last month.
Over his time at Washington State, Moos was able to secure a $130 million renovation to the school's football stadium, and also helped secure the 12-year, $3 billion deal with Fox and ESPN to be the primary host of the PAC-12.
It remains to be seen as to what will happen to Husker coach Mike Riley.
Moos: "I don't think anything is accomplished - and I never have - in dismissing a coach mid season."

After signing an extension for the 2018 season under Eichorst, the record and the effort from last night and previous things could drastically change things in the coming weeks.
Regardless of what Moos' sentiments are, he definitely has to be at least considering making the regime change now, rather than later.
Moos' tenure will begin on Oct. 23.
