I am looking into getting a smoker now that many of them are on sale. 07/10 and Oyster had a great thread awhile back about the Masterbuilt Propane smoker (http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/anything-else/2015/06/55038/ok-oyster-lay-it-on-mesmokebbq-related-thread) and it has some good reviews on Amazon. 

With having three young kids (and a fourth on the way), I am also looking at the electric smokers as well. I am afraid that I won't be able to have enough time to tend the propane/charcoal smoker in order to get the best results. 

For those of you that have smokers, what do you have and would you recommend it?
Are there any smokers that you would not recommend due to past experiences?
How much tending does the Masterbuilt dual fuel smoker need? (Looking at you 07/10 and Oyster).
What types of wood do you prefer?
