I watch the half time shows of our band. This past week I followed pre game and the PSU band director stood at the tunnel end and watched the ramp. He cheered each band member as they came out. Then followed the band and clapped some more as we did Script. Then he led the band in the National Anthem but the entire time you could tell  he was surprised by fan reaction to the band as he looked around into the stands.
