Ohio State has lost another defensive end in its current class.

Four-star 2025 defensive end London Merritt decommitted from Ohio State on Tuesday following several visits to Colorado over the fall.

Merritt is the second former OSU defensive end commit to reopen his recruitment this month, as he joins Zahir Mathis. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound prospect had been committed to Ohio State since the spring, but took a few visits to other schools, including North Carolina and Colorado.

The Buckeyes now have four defensive linemen committed in the 2025 class: Jarquez Carter, Trajen Odom, Zion Grady and Maxwell Roy. They'll host a trio of potential additions this weekend: five-star defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart, Penn State defensive end commit Chaz Coleman and UCLA defensive end commit Epi Sitanilei.
