Teen idol from the late 50's/early 60's, Bobby Rydell, died today at age 79. He had 39 Billboard Top 100 hits; including, Wild One, Forget Him, and Wildwood Days and was a contemporary to Bobby Vinton, Fabian, Ricky Nelson, and Bobby Vee. The fictional Rydell High School of Grease game was actually named after him. Another rock legend has gone.
