This article is buried on ESPN's NCAAF page, probably because it's Rutgers and won't get the clicks that a bigger program would get. But no doubt this had a lot to do with the B10's decision to postpone:
Interestingly, it appears that most of the cases popped up after Rutgers suspended football activities which probably lends itself to the crowd that keeps arguing that these players are safer in a football environment than out. However, it is probably just as likely that the spread began while football activities were still going on and just wasn't detected until later. Whatever the case, a spread like this on any team is what dooms a season and ultimately an entire conference. I still think it is just a matter of time before the SEC, ACC, and B12 postpone as well.
Lastly, some wise words from Schiano:
"We are going to be fine," Schiano said. "A lot of people lost loved ones who are not going to be with them, so I have tried to share that with our players. Let's keep this all in perspective. It's adversity, sure, because it is not what we are used to. It's not what we thought would happen. But in the grand scheme of things, we got it pretty good."
