Many Syracuse FB players, who already have sat out 3 practices, may opt out of the 2020 season as early as today, sources tell @TheAthletic. They have concerns about the long-term effects of the virus, and they dont think theres going to be a season anyway, one person said.

The group of possible opt-outs includes major contributors and starters at Syracuse. A lot of the better players on the team want to opt out, another person said. They just dont feel like it makes sense from a health standpoint.

While this doesn’t sound too meaningful, the rumors online are that Syracuse, Pitt and BC may be facing large scale opt-outs. If true, that could prove fairly harmful to the ACCs plans.
