Just checking to see if anyone caught the college football opener last night.  The game started with a 75 option play for Peay that was quite the way to begin the season.  From there it went into a slug fest until the final 5 minutes when both teams began moving the ball with more success.  Central did dominate the statistics.  Snead for Peay looked ok, but not the 5 star talent that he was when he signed with OSU. 

The stands were quite empty.  Masks were mandatory for the fans, but frequent camera shots showed the few fans in attendance did not really comply.  Coaches and players on the sidelines were supposed to wear a face mask at all times, but the Peay sidelines appeared to have less than 50% participation for that.  The Central side looked to be adhering to the rule.  Even their head coach had a neck gator on for the entire game. 

None the less, it was a successful kick off for the season.  The Espin crew regurgitated their typical over hash on the action.  Yes, it was a crew that is not going to be on major games, but c'mon man, know the rules!

Wonder if K Warren was watching.  How is it that two FCS schools can pull off a season opener with the limited budgets at their schools?  Both teams traveled by bus to the Montgomery Alabama site.  Peay only has 3 total games scheduled for this season, Central Arkansas has 9.  At least they gave it the old college try to get in some games.
