So as I understand it, this year "doesn't count" in terms of eligibility.  So there would be no benefit in redshirting a player.  

So my question, lets use Miyan Williams as an example.  He can play this year no problem.  Now say next year, Teague has established himself and Henderson / Pryor blow through the doors.  Can Miyan then redshirt 2021 and enter 2022 as a ~21 year old redshirt freshman, already having played ~12 games (~8 this year, 4 in 2021).

I can't wait for the random 25 year old playing for Illinois in 2025.
