Every year the SEC is in the discussion for 2 playoff spots. Teams get over-ranked in the preseason and every victory over that over-ranked team is treated like gold and every loss like silver. Missouri was ranked 25th before today's game. They have 3 losses nearly all by 20 pts (including to a bad Tennessee team) and no victories over the current top 25. They have only 1 decisive win (over a winless Vandy). They should not be sniffing the top 40 let alone the top 25. Yet, that easy victory by Georgia today will be used as a reason to keep them above Indiana. And why is Georgia team that also had no victories over a top 25 team and has been beaten by double digits twice ranked so high? Because they beat over-ranked Auburn (#7 at the time, now 5-4) and Tennessee (#14 at the time, now 2-6). Indiana doesn't have a great resume beat #16 last week and moved nowhere. I wish they wouldn't rank teams until after week 3.
