LSU only brought roughly 55 scholarship players to Gainesville, most of whom were freshmen and sophomores. Their QB was actually making his first career start. LSU led most the first half, and it was back and forth the second half. LSU kicked a 57 yard field goal with roughly 20 seconds left to take the lead 37-34. Florida had a chance but missed a 52 yard field goal of their own as time expired. I’d imagine Trask’s Heisman chances took a hit as he had some key turnovers.

Florida actually stopped LSU on their final drive. But a Florida db actually took the receivers shoe and CHUCKED it down field. Unsportsmanlike penalty gave LSU 15 yards, and directly lead to the field goal. It was such a stupid mistake it was almost funny!

To me, this should all but assure that regardless of next week, Florida is out of the playoff conversation.
