Boise States Bryan Harsin has agreed to become the new Auburn head coach, per source. Harsin went 69-19 with the Broncos.

Auburn fans are, well, less than pleased. They were planning on luring a coach from a school in the Pacific Northwest, just not this one. I don’t necessarily think Harsin is a bad hire, but he’s just not a good fit in the SEC. The man is a Boise native and Bronco alum who spent all but three years coaching in either Oregon or Idaho. Auburn must be paying him a truckload to have enticed him to leave home. This has a bit of a “Gary Andersen at Wisconsin” feel to it.
