Minnesota sent film to the BIG offices because PJ Fleck felt that Mitchell and Ransom should have been called for targeting in the game last Thursday. On his radio show, Fleck mildly complained because the BIG apologized and said that Ransom should have been flagged for targeting (however, since he didn't complain about Mitchell, it is assumed that the BIG offices told him that his hit was not targeting). One can infer that Fleck was not very happy, as we would be, because the apology changes nothing. 

My thought: Fleck wanted so badly to use the subsequent turnover as a reason that a possible Minnesota comeback was stopped, but did eventually take the high road and say that the call wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game.

It was fortunate for Ohio State since Ransom would have had to sit out the first half of the Oregon game.
