Watching the Iowa vs. Iowa St. game and Herbstreit was raving about the Iowa defense. He said that the new trend is teams moving to more zone defenses and away from man to man. It gives the defensive backs a chance to see where the ball is going, reading it, and reacting to it.
Then they cut away from the game to show a highlight of Colorado's last play vs. A&M and the announcer said "A&M allows the catch underneath by dropping into zone coverage and rallying to the ball carrier."
UGH. Why does it seem like everyone gets it except for us?
