The D3 College Football game between La Crosse and Platteville had an absolutely bizarre ending. Platteville was in prime position to win the game, trailing by 1 all they needed was to kick a field goal.

In my opinion, this tops any "spiking the ball on fourth down" plays.

They even got the home field advantage of the clock operator stopping the clock because they assumed it would have been a spike but still ran out of time.
