Now, before I start, I'm a huge Buckeye fan & root for the BIG in any out of conference matchup (including Michigan, sorry).
I wanted to dive into some data over the past 11 years regarding "SEC bias"
And.. I've gotta say, not seein it.
Here are the P5 Bowl Records since 2010, followed by the associated win percentage.
SEC - 69-41 (63%)
BIG - 44-49 (47%)
PAC - 37-41 (47%)
ACC - 48-55 (47%)
BIG12 - 40-37 (52%)
With that, the SEC has three separate teams winning the natty (Auburn, LSU & Bama) for a total of seven. The BIG has one & the ACC has two individual teams (FSU & Clemson) totally three titles.
The SEC has the most draft picks over this span along w/ the best record vs P5 conferences in bowl & regular season games.
They continues to lap other conferences in the recruiting rankings, too.
So, is there actual bias or are they just better? Maybe it does mean more. I'd like to hear everyone's take regarding this. People gloating about the SEC certainly is annoying but it appears they, as a conference, do deserve credit for their play on the field.
Go Bucks.
