Recently announced that Nebraska will retain Scott Frost for another year. After winning a national championship* at UCF he returned to Nebraska as the savior of the program but has failed to reach a bowl game through his first 4 years. Many speculated he would be fired but it seems his Nebraska roots and $20 million buyout is getting him another year.
Nebraska is interesting because they may be the best 3-7 team in cfb history. They nearly beat OSU, MSU, OU, and Michigan this season and have our scored their opponents by over 70 so far. Next year will be huge for Frost and he could return every single starter on offense including 4 year starting QB Adrian Martinez due to covid rules. They will also have a much easier schedule by dropping OSU/MSU and adding Indiana/Rutgers.
The question is do you think they made the right move? Is Frost unlucky and deserving of credit for putting a good team on the field that fails to get the win? Or is he just a bad coach who is holding back a solid team/program?
