Apparently his source tells him the 12 team playoff is a go and could be voted on to be in place for next season. If not approved in December then it won't be until 2025. 

There is some skepticism about this as per the article "there are plenty of college football insiders questioning the validity of it. That’s because the Playoff can’t officially expand its field until the 2024 season." but interesting nonetheless. Maybe the negative pushback and attention they've received is pushing the needle?
