It looks like Michigan has changed its mind about NIL.  It set up a marketplace to facilitate NIL deals with students, which should be a big help for them.  OSU wasn't exactly the earliest to put something in place, but I'm sure we'll find some fun ways to ridicule them anyway.

The University of Michigan’s athletic department took a step forward in the arena of Name, Image and Likeness on Wednesday, launching a registry it hopes will make business transactions between current student-athletes and interested businesses easier.

In the new registry, Michigan says registered companies will be allowed to search, filter and initiate conversation with student-athletes to facilitate an NIL deal. If and when a deal is brokered, the company will be able to pay the student-athlete directly through the platform.
