So, lets get the bad news out of the way first, CJ Stroud didn't win the award and a Wolverine did. I personally would have liked to have faced him and see how our defense would have held up to the challenge.

A brief history of the Big Ten's Heisman, the Silver Football:

It was first awarded in 1924 to Illinoi's Red Grange so it's almost a century old.

Ohio State has the most winners of the award with 22 and UM is second with 19 winners, taking the last two consecutively.

Multiple time winners include HB Paul Giel of Minnesota in 1952-53, Archie in 73-74, Cornelius Greene took it in 1975, Archie's second Heisman year, Anthony Thompson of Indiana 88-89, our own Braxton Miller in 12-13, and Saquon Barkley in 16-17, although in 2016 he split the award with JT Barrett.

Our first winner was Wes Fesler in 1930 who would go on to coach the Buckeyes, later!
