Mods: Apologies if this was posted elsewhere. I checked around a bit but with TTUN Scandel part 16 reaching 300 comments, it’s a lot to sift through. Plus I felt that this might deserve it’s own thread.
Football Scoop reported that not only was Michigan allegedly scouting for themselves, but they went one step further and shared that information with teams that played CFP contenders, namely South Carolina right before they played Tennessee and Clemson. The sign stealing operation was already bad enough, but if they really did share the info to help other teams, then that takes it to a whole nother level of cheating.
Now I know that FootballScoop and Barstool are not exactly perfect sources, but there’s things about it that make sense. It obviously aided Michigan if Tennessee or Clemson lost. South Carolina coincidentally got smoked by an average Florida team right before they magically beating top ten teams Tennessee and Clemson in back to back weeks. If you watched that Tennessee game, it seemed like South Carolina couldn’t do anything wrong. We know Shane Beamer isn’t above taking information like this because he did it in the past. And to top it off, SC’s defensive coordinator Clayton White was Harbaugh’s DB coach at Stanford from 2007-2009, so there’s a connection. With all that’s been revealed so far, this is becoming less and less far-fetched.
