Meats back on the menu boys!
Sources indicate that the NCAA will meet next week, possibly to start drafting a Notice of Allegations. This rapid progress is unusual for the NCAA, but they have been moving quickly since the season and have recently interviewed those allegedly involved, including former Michigan coaches and Connor Stalions, the supposed mastermind behind "Signgate," as well as boosters.
Those involved have consistently stated that there is no clear evidence of coaches instructing Stalions to advance scout opponents and believe the scale of the alleged operation has been exaggerated. The exact wording of any allegations will be interesting given the lack of substantial evidence.
Additionally, there are reports of minor level 2 violations related to recruiting, but nothing severe enough to warrant significant penalties for Michigan, according to sources familiar with the situation.
