PD started off Monday to level set expectations of what should happen:

So we're all on the same page-

Today, Nov. 25th, is UM's deadline to reply to the NOA. This will be transmitted privately and securely, and will not be made public today. 

I do expect at least some journalistic confirmation later on that the reply has been sent, and wouldn't be surprised to see some loosely-sourced characterizations from UM-sympathetic outlets. I expect UM's tight lid to continue to quash any larger leaks. 

Our next best chance to see full documentation is in about 3 weeks, which was UM's FOIA office's initial timeline for releasing the NOA under open records laws. While that timeline could still slide, they haven't yet reset their expectations. 

After today, there is a 60-90 day window within which the COI reviews UM's response and schedules their hearing. Given steps that have been taken by enforcement staff over the past few months, I do not expect this part of the process to drag out nearly as long as it could. 

and then, the NCAA infractions dashboard showed the following update:

(11/13/24) Enforcement issued amended and revised NOAs.

(11/05/24) Involved party requested extension to respond to NOA.

(11/08/24) COI approval for extension request.

This is a new development, with rumors swirling on all sides.  PD, after working the phones, attempted to provide some levity:

Quick update:

BS is suggesting that the NOA was "expanded" to include more evidence or allegations. I do not believe this to be the case.

UM-sympathic media is reporting that the NOA was softened. This is even less likely, as any arguments against the facts of the NOA as originally issued would have been handled either thru negotiated resolution or thru the hearing process.

My UM adjacent source who has been best with very specific details thus far knows nothing of the university requesting an extension.

My gut read is that the extension could be from an involved party beyond the university, which would trigger an "updated" NOA to spell out the new timeline.
